MISys Manufacturing – Maintain Data using the Purge and Delete Utilities.
Over time in a manufacturing dbase, the volume of data can build and some of that data will eventually become obsolete. Keeping obsolete data in the system can result in process and performance degradation, so it is a good idea to clear out un-needed data on a regular basis.
MISys Manufacturing has several data Purge and Delete functions that work to keep data managed and under control. To prevent data cleanup from becoming a large project, consider establishing a data maintenance schedule with intervals of no longer than once per year.
MISys Data Purge and Delete functions include:
Purge Closed Work Orders, Purge Closed Mfg. Orders, Purge Closed POs, Delete SL Numbers, Purge SL Numbers, Purge Stock Movement, Delete Obsolete Items, Purge Job Details, Purge Item Costs, Purge Master Log.
As always, make sure you back up your database before performing any purge or multiple record delete activities.
