MISys EXT and Stock Inquiries – Part 2
Hey Folks.
If you have users on the floor using MISys EXT with handheld devices, and no actual access to a desktop to do stock look ups – you may have noticed that MISys EXT doesn’t have a “stock inquiry feature”. To get around this, there are a couple of options. Last post reviewed using dashboard alerts to retrieve stock information in MISys EXT. This post will use a blanket physical inventory batch to help users with lookups!
An example would be to set up a default “MISys EXT Inquiry” Physical Inventory batch in MISys. Using MISys EXT users will then be able to navigate to the physical inventory section and select that batch:
If your product is barcoded, users will then be able to scan the barcode of an item and select a location.
This option can be used to allow users to simply do a stock check for accuracy at a location; however, further actions would be required to correct the inventory if it is inaccurate.
