If you have serial or lot tracking enabled in your MISys database, a quick and easy way to look up those items and the associated serial or lot numbers is to review them in the stock control menu.

When a subassembly can be either built internally or purchased from a supplier, MISys MRP provides a way for the materials planner to make that decision each time MRP is run.

Component shortages on manufacturing orders are flagged in Yellow (refer to line 8 below). For any shortages that have approved alternates set up, the alternates can be substituted by clicking either ‘Substitute Alternates for All Shortages’, or ‘Substitute Alternates for Selected Material’.

Often times when posting a period end, there are transactions in MISys that are dated in a locked fiscal period in the accounting package. This tends to happen a lot more around month or year ends, where receiving, invoicing or transfer transactions are back dated.
