MISys Manufacturing – Transferring Items to Sales

For companies that maintain sales inventory for a customer facing retail or distribution presence, MISys can maintain Sales Stock to pre-defined levels. In turn that sales stock qty provides the sales team with visibility of on hand inventory that can be shipped directly from the warehouse when customers are placing orders.

After a MISys item number has been mapped and its stock threshold is set in the accounting system, running ‘Sales Transfer / Range of Items’ will transfer the required available MISys inventory to the accounting system based on the options chosen for the transfer.

The transfer function requires entry of the following:

• An originating MISys location

• Selection of the Item number range

• Selection of the stock leveling method (in this case, for all sales items, we want all sales inventory to be at the reorder level or higher.)

• Click Mfg > Sales.

This will initiate the transfer of any available inventory in MISys to top up the Sales Inventory to the reorder level where it is currently less than the reorder level.  If you have any questions about running the Range of Items sales transfer, please get in touch with us here at Central Nervous Systems.
