MISys Manufacturing - Two Ways to Consolidate MRP PO Details.
MISys MRP consolidates items onto purchase orders in two basic ways. One is by individual MPS dates and the second is by earliest MPS date.
The following example shows the MRP BUY screen with item I19 highlighted.
1. Consolidate Qty by each MPS scheduled date – Use the ‘Buy All’ function.
Click ‘Buy All’ to copy the scheduled receipts to the PO for those items to arrive ‘Just in Time’ to meet each MPS date of demand. In this example, the PO gets populated with the two MPS scheduled receipts, one detail line for qty 30 on Nov27, and one detail line for qty 140 on Nov30.
2. Consolidate Qty by earliest date – Use the ‘Buy Item’ function.
Click ‘Buy Item’ to consolidate all scheduled receipts for an item into the earliest date. In this example, the PO gets populated with the single earliest MPS date, one detail line for qty 170 on Nov27.
