Replacing BOM Components in MISys
If you’ve ever been in a situation where a part has been replaced in your organization and you end up having to updated dozens of BOM’s?
Housekeeping in MISys has a much quicker option for you now within the administration section under housekeeping.
The Replace/Add/Remove BOM Component allows users to replace items with a new part, add or remove a part from BOM’s across a range of BOM’s selected. If further allows you to make those changes on current revisions or to force new revisions
A solid understanding of the BOM structure is advised and most definitely a backup of the system should be done before making these changes.
